Germans attck on poland in 1939 is what really satrted WWII. Before Hitler Attcaked poland Him an the sovien union made a pack. It was called the nazi-soviet non aggression pact. (Beck) This pact meant that they could both invade any country they wanted without butting heads and with out invading each other. Hitler Knew that just attcking poland would start war but what he didnt know that invading poland would start war either way. hitler wanted to make it see like poland attack them first. so on september 1 1939 he took a citizen from german dressed him up like a soldier and killed him to make it seem like the poland army did it. using the dead soldiers as proof hitler and the german ary attacked poland. One reason why hitler wanted to invade poland was to give the german lebensraum in europe. Lebensraum is a german word which means more "living space" (eight reasons). Hitler felt like germans needed more space to control.
So on April first 1939 hitler invaded poland. They invaded poland airspace, theyeven had tanks roll in on polands boarder. They started bombing with no mercy, just bombing everything.By the end of the day poland belonged to german (ayers).
The way german got to invade poland with out poland knowing was the geman new statagy called Blitzkrieg. (danzer) Blitzkrieg means "a form of war fare in which suprise attacks fast moving airplanes are followed by massive attacks with infantry force" (beck)
