With all the involvements with many allies in world war 2 it was natural and inevitable they were invaded or under the direct threat of invasion by the axis. Once Hitler annouced that Germany would "Liberate" the ethnic Germans in czechoslovakia. In March 1939 Hitler seized the rest of czechoslovakia and began to move on Poland. Congress passed the Neutrality act of 1937 making it unlawful for the United States to do any business with the Belligerents (The Allies).
